N*E*W*S
Returning Triumphant!
Dallas, TX. The national RWA conference was, for me
a four-day whirlwind. Most exciting was
the dreaded E/A
appt's, which, amazingly were anything but dreadful!
Exec. Editor Mary-Theresa
Hussey, requested the entire manuscript of "Tempting
the Undertow" to be considered for two imprints--HQN and NEXT,
both new women's
fiction lines.
Michelle Graijkowski, agent for the 3 Seas Literary Agency, has requested partial manuscripts
for "Tempting the Undertow," and "If Only." And has also asked for a proposal on a non-fiction book I am currently working on! I couldn't have been any more pleased! However,
with success also comes a great deal of work, so Happy
Halloween and everything in between, because I doubt I'll be leaving my office
anytime before then!
Additionally, I had the privilage of meeting
and talking with a few of my favorite authors: James Patterson
(who gave me his personal copy of "Sam's Letters to Jennifer" and autographed it!--which I read in one night!), Kristen Hannah (who won a Rita Sat. night for "Between Sisters"), Mary
Jo Putney, Jennifer Crusie, and Nora
Roberts, to name a few, & received autographed copies of their latest books, as well those of dozens of other
talented authors!
It was a fabulously exhausting event!

Update:
My freelance writing is eating up my fiction-writing time, which is a good thing! Financially speaking! I'm working on increasing my client list.
